Work At Home Scams - Tips on what to watch out for:
The following is just some of the tips to watch out for with work at
home scams / schemes. They are popping up more and more everyday on the Internet and in Newspapers all over the
US. For people that do not know what to look for you can really get burnt, and it does not matter if it is $1.00
or $1,000.00 because your hard-earned money is just that Your hard-earned money, and no
one should have the right to scam, or steal your money from you by misleading you to believe you are getting the chance of a
lifetime!
We will be adding site links below soon for scam sites, state sites,
etc. to better help you check out any type of work at home job, company, etc. to see if they might be a scam.
However, please note that just because they are not listed on a site does NOT mean that they are not a scam so
please do your research and use your "gut" feelings as well.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably
is!
Scam TIPS are below:
-
Do not offer you a paid employment but want you to bring in new
people to collect money from ( pyramid schemes)
-
Promise you huge salaries per week / month.
-
Require money for instructions or merchandise before telling you how
the plan operates.
-
It gives testimonies with no names of who gave the company the
testimony.
-
If they guarantee you 100% of getting a job when they are not the
ones hiring you. A company cannot guarantee you of this if they are not hiring you themselves;
there are too many variables in getting hired. A company can give assistance, but understand that
with assistance, there are never any guarantees. You should still market your resume yourself as
well.
-
It does not give a phone number for you to contact someone to ask
questions directly.
-
The company / website / ad gives you a PO Box addresses only without
a phone number.
-
It tells you that you can get hired for the job with no experience
without any kind of training. In order to do a job with no experience you must have some kind of
training / knowledge of how to do the job in order to successfully do a job in a career.
-
You still want to use your best judgment and do as much research as
you can about any company you are going to pay money to for anything that has to do with working at
home, training to work at home, etc.
-
NEVER PAY TO GET HIRED TO WORK AT
HOME! Companies should pay you to work for them
NOT the other way around! If a company tells you that you have to Pay them in order for THEM to HIRE
YOU then you need to be very, very cautious and RED Flag that one to not pay the money! When we say Pay
to Hire we mean just that, which they are telling you that if you pay a FEE that they (the company you
pay) will Hire You to work for them! No, it should not work that way at all.
-
When checking a company out be sure if they have NO complaints that they
have been in business for more than six months because some Rip Off companies will start up under a new
name ever six months, new phone number, website, etc. Also - While it is understandable that a company
cannot always please every customer, even if they try, and they may have a few complaints on their
report, if they have a lot of complaints on their report, then you need to be very cautious of this.
Furthermore, if they do have any complaints at all on their report, you need to ask them if they can
explain why there are complaints on their report. They may have legitimate reasons for them, especially
if there are only a few.
-
A company does NOT have to be a member of theirs to get complaints
against them so be sure to check it out. If you are looking up a work at home company or training type
program / company, they will also give you additional tips for what to look for in a work at home scam
on these types of listings, including ours because we are listed as a Work At Home Training
Company.
